Heather Austin earned her Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and is currently pursuing clinical licensure under supervision. She uses a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach and is passionate about meeting clients where they are in their healing journey. Heather has experience working with individuals in recovery, including those who have been formerly incarcerated, and draws on modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing to support lasting change. With a background in group facilitation and a deep commitment to relational work, Heather helps clients build insight, resilience, and healthy connections. She values authenticity, equity, and the power of human connection in the therapeutic process.
