Riverbend Counseling is hiring license-eligible Outpatient Psychotherapists for our Culpeper, Richmond, and Charlottesville offices. Full-time Hybrid positions are available for an August 2026 start.

Riverbend provides high-quality and compassionate outpatient therapy using sophisticated and creative interventions and serves individuals and families from all backgrounds. Our clinicians specialize in evidence-based therapies, including EMDR, Parts Work, Somatic Interventions, Child/Attachment, and more. You'll be part of a team of therapists who value mutual support and collaboration. Our team-based approach allows for regular case consultations and innovative treatment planning.

Responsibilities:

Conduct individual and family therapy sessions for clients dealing with mental health issues, substance abuse, and/or behavioral disorders.

Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and client goals.

Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
-
Provide crisis intervention and support during times of acute need.
-
Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records per organizational and legal standards.

Collaborate with external agencies and community resources to coordinate additional client support services.
Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Social Work.
-
License-eligible as LCSW in Virginia
-
Full-time workload, seeing about 25 clients per week.
-
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
-
Commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality guidelines.
