How do I become a RITT CC?
Steps to Certification
Initial Certification Requirements:
Licensed LCSW, LPC, LCP, LMFT
2 +years full-time clinical practice experience
Successfully completed RITT’s Trauma Treatment in Practice series
Successfully completed RITT’s Parts, Parts, Parts training
EMDR Basic Training complete (including consult hours) via an EMDRIA Approved Provider or the Parnell Institute
Completion of one of the following somatic trainings:
Janet Evergreen or Tonya Riding’s Vagus 1-3 or
Somatic Experiencing International’s Beginning Level SE trainings or
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy International’s Level 1: SP for the Treatment of Trauma trainings
RITT Advanced Trauma Therapist Certification requirements:
RITT Trauma Therapist Certification current certification
4+ years total full-time clinical practice experience
RITT Parts Work with Complex Presentations
12+ credit hours of additional specialty trainings from RITT or any other approved NBCC, NASW, APA or ASWB CE provider in the treatment of trauma disorders.
Additional 10 hours of consultation with RITT Consultant (5 of these hours can be in a group format)
Additional Child and Family Integrative Trauma Treatment Certification Foundational Level requirements:
Assessment with Children and Families
Child Therapy Basics
Working with Parents and the Family System Affected by Trauma
Diagnosing and Treatment Planning with Traumatized Children
Attachment Trauma Working with Littles
Kelly and the Giants
Cultural Considerations and Intergenerational Trauma
Aggression in the Playroom
Children Experiencing Domestic Violence Trauma
5 hours consultation (can be group)
Advanced Child and Family Trauma Therapist Certification requirements:
Identify and Implement Interventions for Dissociative States with Children & Caregivers
Working with the Child Welfare System
Children Experiencing Sexual Violence
Advanced EMDR with Children
Integrating Expressive Modalities for Families
5 hours consultation (can be group)
