Emilia Williams (she/her) graduated with a master's in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2021. Since graduating she was worked as a volunteer therapist with the Women’s Initiative has received post-graduate training with the Institute for Family Services, an agency in New Jersey which utilizes a Liberation-Based Healing Practice to serve clients in circles on a variety of presenting issues through a systemic lens. She is passionate about incorporating social justice, anti-racism, and liberation into her current and future practice alongside other traditional frameworks to validate the client’s lived experience and use the therapeutic space as an opportunity to explore the connections between clients’ outer and inner worlds. Prior to pursuing clinical social work, Emilia earned her BA in anthropology at the College of William and Mary and was a legal assistant at an immigration law firm in Virginia, advocating for children and families who were impacted by the US immigration system.  wounds, as well as developing new ways of doing life and relationships.
