Through her internship, Simran gained experience working with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, severe mental illnesses, and intellectual difficulties.
Simran strongly believes in creating a safe, warm, and non-judgmental environment as the foundation for exploration and processing. She values the connection between the mind and body, and considers this connection to be essential in establishing safety and trust. Simran is passionate to support individuals navigate life challenges, stressors, changes, and trauma experiences to emerge with a stronger sense of their true selves. Individuals can develop thought processes and behaviors that appear maladaptive, but they may just be protective behaviors resulting from past experiences and trauma. Working through these to discover the purpose and need they serve can foster healing and help re-discover parts of self that may have been forgotten. Simran aims to be a fellow traveler in your healing journey and can communicate in both English and Hindi.
