Responding to a Disaster Using EMDR Early Intervention Protocols
Offered By Riverbend Integrative Trauma Treatment and VCRN
Who would benefit from this training? ASWs, LCSWs, LPCs, Residents in Counseling. This 2-day training will provide the members of VCRN with the necessary infrastructure, knowledge, and therapeutic skills to respond quickly to a disaster, thus reducing future negative effects experienced by those affected. Fully trained EMDR therapists will have a comprehensive knowledge of response protocols look using psychological first aid, stabilization techniques, EMDR protocols.

Refund Policy for Trainings: All requests received in writing via ground mail or emailed to camilla@riverbendcounseling.com at least two weeks (14 days) prior to the date of the start of the workshop/series will receive a refund, less a 15% administrative fee & applicable credit card/merchant fees which are typically non-refundable. Requests made 13 to six days prior to the start of the workshop/series will receive a refund less 30%. Requests received 5 days or less prior to the first day of the workshops/series will result in a forfeiture of the attendee's investment. There are no full or partial refunds once a workshop series begins. Please note that this policy applies to all circumstances causing a registrant not to attend a workshop including, but not limited to late arrival, sickness, family/personal emergencies, traffic problems, car problems, getting lost, work concerns, et cetera. Registrations are non-transferable and must be used for the original date and time.

CE Issuance Policy: In order to receive CE credit, you must pay a registration fee, sign in/out, arrive on time (in the morning and from breaks), stay for the entire workshop, complete and submit a training evaluation. Once these steps are completed, you will be issued a CE Certificate. Per Board regulations, we are unable to issue partial credit. Thus, an attendee arriving after the start of a session (mornings or at break) will not be issued CE credit or a refund for the session.

CE Re-Issuance: Requests for CE Certificates to be re-issued for any reason will result in a $15 administrative fee. This include duplicates, lost items, or failure to pick-up your certificate at the end of the session.

About the Trainers
Virginia Community Response Network
Our mission is to develop, train, and maintain a team of licensed and license-eligible volunteer clinicians to respond to community disasters in Virginia by providing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) services to victims to minimize the emotional effects of a traumatic event.
ACE Accredited
Riverbend Integrative Trauma Treatment, provider number 1807, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Riverbend Integrative Trauma Treatment maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 3/04/2023-03/04/2026.

Riverbend Integrative Trauma Treatment has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7465. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Riverbend Integrative Trauma Treatment is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

For professional counselors, we are able to offer 7.0 CEs for new VCRN members completing the training, and 2.0 CEs for existing VCRN members.

EMDRIA: Riverbend Integrative Trauma Treatment is an EC Provider #22034 and this program (#22034-04) is approved for 7.0 EMDRIA Credits for new VCRN members and 2.0 EMDRIA credits for existing VCRN members. Eligibility for EMDRIA Credits is restricted to those who have completed an EMDRIA Approved Basic EMDR Training.
